On this day ten years ago, I drove up to my new home in Missouri with a friend riding shotgun and my two very unhappy cats in the back seat. We had been on the road for 3 days, driving mostly on I 70 through Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Kansas to get here. Needless to say, the views were amazing.
My move was a new adventure, including a new house, community and culture. I had also sold or given away a large percentage of my possessions before leaving CA. It felt both scary and exciting.
