Even when our days feel good, there is always room for improvement. It doesn’t mean you have to put a lot of effort into it. Sometimes, it’s the simple things that can brighten your day the most.
Here are some simple and easy ways to make your days feel great:
- Stretch and wiggle your toes before getting out of bed
- Journal or read something inspirational
- Floss
- Make your bed
- Practice good posture
- Pray
- Dance or sing
- Put a bird feeder where you can see it from your window
- Sharpen your knives
- Clean or organize something
- Smile
- Use the good dishes
- Practice random act of kindness
- Connect with nature
- Go to the library
- Say thank you
- Go for a walk
- Take a nap
- Practice breathing deeply
- Do something you’ve been putting off
- If something will only take a few minutes, just get it done
- Put things away when you are done with them
- Create a space for reading, journaling and quiet time
- Write a letter of appreciation to someone
- Enjoy a daydream
- Put down your phone for a designated period of time
- Say I love you
- Have a don’t buy anything day
- Read and watch only positive things
- Cook something from scratch
- Savor the flavors of your food
- Clean your kitchen counters every night.
- Take a relaxing bath
- Turn off your phone and TV a half hour before bedtime
- Sit in the dark and listen to music
- Cuddle your pets, partner or kids
