5 Friday Favorites – Information, Tips, and Resources for Your Life

Friday Favorites lifecoachlinda.com

One of my clients once called me a “human browser”. She said she could count on me to connect her with people, resources, and information that would support her at any given time.

I know I’m human, but the browser thing I’m not so sure about…

And yet, sometimes there are things I would like to share. And so, I thought I would play with the idea of gathering a few of them together for you. If it goes well, I may continue this Friday Favorites idea, so be sure and let me know what you think.

Here are my favorites for this week:

Favorite #1 – An Article About Boosting Your Immune System

I love this reminder from Janet Luhrs about boosting your immune system and staying healthy. I first learned of Janet in the early days of the Simple Living movement through her book, The Simple Living Guide. There was something about that book that helped me feel peaceful and grounded. Having had the flu recently after years of staying healthy I appreciated the information she provided in this post: Sick of Being Sick? 5 Best Ways to Boost Your Immune System

Favorite #2 – A Resource for Resetting a Diet that is Off Track

Whenever my diet and health need a reset, I return to the information I learned through the Virgin Diet created by J.J. Virgin. The focus of this diet is discovering which foods trigger sensitivity, allergies, and inflammation in your body and helping you discover a way of eating this is best for your unique system. Whether you try the diet or not, the information on her website is valuable. Be sure to check out her resources page and YouTube channel. The Virgin Diet

Favorite #3 – A Tool for Improving Your Life

One of my favorite tools and morning practices is to write morning pages as recommended in The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. Through these pages I learn about myself, process what is upsetting me, dream, make plans, and get more clarity. Morning pages help me become a better version of me. You can learn more here: Morning Pages

Favorite #4 – A Resource for Free Learning

I love discovering great resources that are free. It combines a life long love of learning with my somewhat frugal nature. One of these resources is Creative Live. They provide intensive classes, often the equivalent of full day or multi-day seminars on things like photography, video, arts, design, crafts, money, life, and entrepreneurial success. You can watch free the day of the class or purchase the classes to watch whenever you want. There is probably something for everyone on Creative Live.

Favorite #5 – Yummy Food and Recipes

Most of you know I am a vegetarian, but I’m really not much of a cook. I’ve been enjoying a  recipe blog called Cookie and Kate lately. The food pictures make you drool and the recipes are healthy too. My favorite posts are monthly collections of recipes using seasonal items. Here is the one for February: What to Cook this Month

So what do you think? Do you want to see more posts like this where I share articles and resources? This is your chance to participate in what this blog looks like and how it serves you.

And, while we are at it, please feel free to let me know if there is anything else you would like to see or subjects you would like me to write about.

They are both great resources. Cookie and Kate is actually a website and there is a Facebook page. I love getting incredible recipes in my inbox each week. I bet you will enjoy them too.
